Easy Cut-out Cookies

Thursday, January 5, 2012
This recipe is my favorite cut-out cookie. I found the recipe online and after trying it, I decided that it's a keeper!

Cookies:
6 tablespoons soft unsalted butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

1.     Cream butter and sugar.
2.     Then beat in egg and vanilla.
3.     Combine the dry ingredients.
4.     Combine the dry to the wet then mix.
5.     Add more flour if the mixture is too sticky for you.
6.     Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for an hour before rolling out.
7.     Roll out, cut and bake for 10 minutes or until light brown.

The cookies are not that sweet and go best with sweet hot coco or creamy coffees and milk! The can yield 20-25 medium sized cookies.
